Boom! The united tribes of the world will be converging once again amidst the magical, sun-drenched surrounds of the Portuguese countryside when the Boom Festival kicks off from 28 July until 4 August 2012!

More than just a music festival, Boom is an intercultural, multi-disciplinary, psychedelic event that continues to connect with the hearts of people from all walks of life through an explosion of art, music, culture, spirituality, activism and more.

Alchemy is the theme of Boom 2012 - epitomising the fusion of science and spirituality, reminding us that knowledge is power and that we must continue planting the seeds of consciousness and take constructive action to manifest positive change - right here, right now!

So let's come together during the August Full Moon in 2012 for an epic experience. Let us absorb the cosmic energies of the Universe and connect as ONE for this celebration of peace, art, environment, psychedelic culture and LoVe. An ever-inspiring cultural program is currently in the process of being developed, so please watch this space (and the website: http://www.boomfestival.org) for more news as things continue to evolve over the coming months.

but i search so many progressive artists, who can help me, are there any good progressive artist in the lineup? like ace ventura...
hope somone can help me... i also like faster music, like psy or fullon, but in the last years i liked more the slower music,
liquid soul atmos krama klopfgeister and many more...

mach dir um das line up keine Gedanken. den tag durch ist auf dem hauptfloor groggy (und alles was dazu gehört) angesagt.. je später und dunkle desto dunkler dann (also von normalem psy zu dark)

i was @ the boom 2008.... i normaly prefer progressive.... but the boom festival is so amazing.... .. even there is just a little bit progressive at the moment.... i`m sure, you will like it....

hmmm... ich bin auch eher auf die progi schiene aufgesprungen... aber würd (ebenfalls nach 08) gene wieder ans boom dieses jahr...
hab heute mal ferien eingegeben, abwarten und dann mal weitersehn...

leider ist ein heiss geliebtes dnb openair genauder zur selben zeit, welches nach einer pause endlich wieder stattfindet, und erst noch goa ins programm aufnimmt... ma kukkn... was hast du jetzt bezahlt für flugi und tix? fliegst du direkt, und wie kommt ihr weiter ab flughafen?

wir ham leider die erste ticketphase verpasst, bzw. zu spät dran gedacht sodass wir nun ein ticket für 140€ ergattert haben.... + den boom bus für 80€ hin und retour vom flughafen aus.... für den hin und retour flug von züri nach madrid ham wir glaub 200 Sfr gezahlt, was echt noch geht, find ich...
glaub die flüge werden halt nicht unbdingt billiger, je länger man wartet ... isch schliesslich ferienzeit....
durft das letztes jahr zur fusion erfahren, wie schnell so flüge teuer werden können....
will halt unbedingt mal die neue location sehn.. .. sgibt ja zum glück noch nen 2 floor, auf dem mehr progi, dub, electro läuft ... was ja au scho mal bissl was isch....
und ich fands au damals voll super, obwohls au recht wenig progi war..... location, leute, stimmig, feeling.... hat bei mir damals alles gepasst...

we will see... 220euronen und 200franken geht noch... da reicht ja ein tausender loooocker für die ganze woche... hoff es klappt mit ferien vom geschäft...

There exists in the mass media a complex web of disinformation communicated in the most subliminal form. ARTivists have therefore become the historians of the future as they document the truth behind the headlines, raise the consciousness vibration and witness the transformation taking place in our world.

So a picture is not just worth a thousand words, but a thousand actions and art has become a powerful tool for expressing activist dissent and for communicating information that impacts us all.

Visual communication is thus fundamental to the Boom experience and so ARTivists are invited to submit their activism-inspired works of art for display at the Boom Festival this year.

Mass demonstrations are synchronising with the 2012 global shift in consciousness as depicted by the Maya. The time therefore, is NOW, as ARTivism becomes a crucial component of this year’s Boom Art Program.

So whether your art depicts the farce of democracy, reality of corporate ownership, injustice of war, marginalisation, immigration, environmental damage, police brutality, border control or any other issue or powerful campaign that communicates the message hard and clear: we want to hear from you.

NB: Feel free to experiment with either traditional or technological mediums; graphics, canvass, digital, print, installation, video, animation - it’s up to you!
